Aspen Tech Policy Hub Fellowship

The Tech Policy Hub Fellowship focuses on building better tech policy broadly -- within government, within tech companies, or as an external advocate. Fellows get to pick their final project topic. This opportunity is ideal for those who have existing tech policy ideas they wish to refine and press forward.

Fellows are at the table and on the ground, improving data sharing across the healthcare ecosystem, combating climate change using AI, supporting veterans through mobile technology, and more.

Salary: $142,701

TechCongress gives talented technologists the opportunity to gain first-­hand experience in federal policymaking and shape the future of tech policy through fellowships with Members of Congress and Congressional Committees.

Fellows are placed among the top tech decision makers in the United States government to make change at the highest levels and at a scale unparalleled in the private or public sectors. Fellows are trained to become cross-sector leaders who can understand the challenges of government and in the technology community and keep Congress up to date about the latest challenges and opportunities relating to technology.

Salary: $85,000/year stipend

You are joining a network of human-centered designers, software engineers, data scientists, product managers, procurement experts, policy analysts, and others that are as passionate as you about creating a government that works for the public.

US Civilian Corps

The mission of US Civilian Corps is to strengthen America’s resilience by creating pathways to public service. There are remote, volunteer, and part-time opportunities to serve.

U.S. Digital Response

U.S. Digital Response is a nonprofit that places experienced, pro-bono technologists to work with government and organizations responding to moments of crisis, to quickly deliver critical services and infrastructure that support the needs of the public.

United States Digital Service

The U.S. Digital Service is a group of technologists from diverse backgrounds working across the federal government to transform critical, public-facing digital services for the people.

USDS focuses on hiring technical experts who can adapt to a project’s needs and also hires specialists for particular projects.

Location: Need to live in Washington, D.C. or surrounding area during the work week. No relocation package offered.

Salary: under $100,000-around $170,000.
